I thought I would start this blog by posting a mix of my paintings and drawings - old and new.
For the last few years I've been focussing on figurative based work and this has yielded (for me) some exciting results. However, artists are people like everyone else and we are all subject to change. In fact I think it's essential for continued growth. When I reached what could be called an em-pass with the figurative work I recently decided to return to abstraction (last wrestled with about twenty years ago). Guess what? Both the ideas and my desire to make work kicked back in immediately and images started to pour out. Creatively, It was definitely a good decision.
